From the Saddle to the Green . . . to the Posh Puppy Scene!
Kristy Amber Dukelow was placed on her first pony before she could walk or talk. Subsequently spending a large portion of her next 25 years in the saddle, Kristy was never far from her ponies, and by teen years, her horses. Growing up just West of Toronto, Ontario, she competed for over fifteen years on the Canadian "A" Circuit and five years ago, at age 27, took a sabbatical from riding and left an established career to start a business of her own.
Together with a passion for Equine sport, Kristy's love for accessories inspired the evolvement of a truly unique collection of leather belts, all designed with Equestrian motifs. Only the finest leathers imported from Italy and England were used in prototyping her first belt collection and to this day, her belts are studded with original hand-sculpted artwork finished in gold, silver, pewter and brass. The company continues to use only the finest of leathers and prides itself on unsurpassed quality and attention to detail. By July of 1996, Kristy had formed her own company "Amberhill", catering to the upper echelon of Tack Shops and Equestrian Boutiques across North America.
A year later, after much success launching her product line to the Equestrian marketplace, Kristy was inspired by a growing interest in the game of Golf. Four years have passed since designing her first Golf Collection and Amberhills production has continued to increase in order to meet the demands to supply beautiful golf accessories, primarily belts to upscale Golf & Country Clubs. Combined with a gift of creative ability, Kristys attention to detail at all levels of design and manufacturing has enhanced her vision to cater to both the Equestrian & Golf industries.
Further developments for Amberhill occurred when Kristy designed a unique collection of collars for her Pug dog "Bear". She continued designing distinctive collar and leash sets for pets belonging to friends and family, as well as for clients pets, subsequently launching "Paw Prints" by Amberhill, an exclusive collection of accessories for canines. Introduced in the Fall of 1998, "Paw Prints" by Amberhill has again, enjoyed an overwhelming response to its unique product line, staying current with seasonal fashions and featured in top Pet Boutiques across North America and abroad.
Now looking into 2002, Kristy is back in the saddle competing on her Show Hunter "Amberhills Company Star" a.k.a. "Bailey". . . a further inspiration to her ambitions to design lifestyle accessories for the Equestrian.
